A Photo A Day Challenge - Day Twenty Five

Day 25 - Green.

This is our cheeky Scaly Breast Lorikeet Tempo. He and his girlfriend April live happily outside. We have had Tempo for about 7 years now and he is a real character.  He always asks us 'who's a pretty boy?', laughs when we laugh and rings when the phone rings. He is super cute and we love him lots!

A Photo A Day Challenge - Day 21 - 24

Day 21 - A Fave Photo
This photo is a couple of years old. Josh took it with his lomo camera down at Yarramundi lagoon at sunset.

Day 22 - Where You Work
An iphone shot of one of the dams I work in. I am doing my PhD on freshwater turtles so I have spent 13 months playing in dams with turtles. I love it, being outside in the sunshine (the rain, not so much). This is a really pretty dam, some of them are puddles of mud!

Day 23 - Your Shoes
These are my favourite cowboy boots. Mum brought them for me 3 years ago and I have only worn them a handful of times. They are actually really comfy. I really need to wear them more.

Day 24 - Inside Your Bathroom Cabinet
I am way to embarrassed by the mess in my bathroom cabinet so I thought I would show you a sketch of my bathroom 'cabinet'. It is an old cupboard with no doors and we have wicker baskets as the draws sitting on shelves. We have a beautiful stone bowl as our sink.

Day 18 - Drink
Gross Cherry Coke. Josh loves it and drinks it by the carton!

Day 19 - Something You Hate To Do
I hate cleaning the mud from the flooding off the old bricks, luckily dad came over and did it for me...I love him!!!

Swap Meet at Clarendon

We spent our Sunday morning at the "Super Swap Meet" at Clarendon. It was really full of people and sellers with apparently 300 sellers. The sellers seem to come on Saturday and set up their caravans and tents. It seems to be a real community. There was about 50% car junk, 50% everything thing else. I would say that the theme this year was rust. It seemed that everyone had some sort of rusty piece on their stall.

Last time it was on you may remember that I got an amazing parasol, well this year, I got an amazing lamp. I have never seen anything like it and it amazed me. I really, really love this lamp. As you can see is it is a little doll man and lady, inside a dome, inside the glass lamp who dance around to music that you wind up from the music box underneath. Oh...I can not tell you how much I love this lamp. I just need to find the perfect shade for it (and straighten the top!)

Day 11 - Makes You Happy
Raggie playing crazy in the garden makes me happy, no matter what mood I am in.

Day 12 - Inside Your Closet
Well the Barns closet. Only few dresses are listed on the website. Hopefully, I will get heaps more on there once my steamer finally arrives.

Day 13 - Blue
Mum has painted a chair to match her books.

Day 14 - Heart
Josh is very sweet...sometimes.

Wallnuts in Portland

Mum and I went on an overnight opshop trip to country NSW. On our way home we stopped in a little town called Portland. It is an old mining town. The town is small but so beautiful. Last year a group of people called 'The Wallnuts' spent their weekend painting beautiful old signs on the sides of the buildings in the town. They are so amazing and well done, if you are anywhere around Portland it is well worth the visit (there is also an opshop and two antique stores!).
